Last weekend, we took a trip to see some great friends from northern Illinois. Last summer, they relocated to San Antonio TX, so that's where we went. Mel said a few weeks ago, that she knew what she wanted for her birthday, and that was 2 tickets to San Antonio. I'm glad she didn't just ask for 1. We had a great time with these dear friends, and got lots of laughing and fun times. They took us to see some sites around the area, and with the towns, thre was lots of shopping for the ladies, and lots of bench's for Larry and me. Her we are outside a great Mexican Restaurant on Sat after attending church.
This is a shot of Debbie and Melody downtown, near the Alamo. It's hard to believe that the Alamo we all studied, and seems like should be this big fort, is really fairly small, and surrounded by the city.
Here Melody and Debbie are on a bridge over the Riverwalk, which is also downtown. It's a great place to go, and stroll, watch people, and eat great food along the waterway.
