Our camera hasn't been working correctly, so I bought a new slim one that we can carry in our pocket. here are a couple shots of the "queen" finishing an enjoying day off. She sat around, and sewed all day, and after her fingers started to hurt, she broke out the Saduko Puzzles. She had a great day.Wednesday, May 28, 2008

Holidy Weekend
It is tough to get old. We decided on Sat night that with nothing else going on, we would take off and visit the gulf coast. We ended up at Sanibel Island, and found a room that overlooked the gulf. We had a great meal at a restaurant recommended by good friends, and it was good. Monday, we headed north along the coast, viewing places that only a few could aford. A couple weeks ago, we bought a GPS, that works on the bike, as well as the truck, and coach. With this technology, we were able to see things that you don't see on a map. Mel looked up the area when we got home, and the homes for sale run from 2 mil to 14 mil. We thought we'd pass.
Now, for the getting old comment, we forgot the camera to record the trip. Maybe next time, as Mel says we are going back sometime.

GOLF
Sorry we haven't posted for a while, but things were a little quiet until last week. I had a chance to go to Bandon Dunes to play golf with 15 other guys. The golf was simply outstanding, and I wish my game was the same. There are 3 courses there, and they are walking only. So we played with cadies, and if we hadn't, we would still be there. They are Scotish style course's, so we could put from 30 to 40 yards off the greens. BUT, the reads were unbelievable. I would line up a put, and figure it would break 2-3 feet, and my cadie would say 12-14 feet, and they were right. It was a special place right on the Oregon coast. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera, so no pics at this time. Maybe someone will send me some.

Travel & Fun

Haven't updated for a couple weeks cause we been on the go. We took a 3 day bike ride to Key West and back. The ride was really beautiful, and the blue colors were magnificent. The first shot is of the 7 mile bridge, and we were stopped for an accident. Not a bad ride over the long bridge. We stopped at a gator/air boat place, and watched a guy put his head inside a gators jaws. We didn't think it was to smart.
This shot is the 3 bikes and guys at the gator place. Note the HEAVY jackets in the Keys in late April.
After the bike trip, Melody and I headed north for my next round of Dr. visits. Yes, unfortunately, he found more tumors, but removed them 2 days later, and sent me home. They did a new procedure this time, by back flushing the bladder with some caustic chemical to try to kill any residual cancer cells that may have broken away during the surgery. However, the day before the hospital visit, I got to go play farmer. This is the BIG machine I got to handle. I didn't say drive, because it has GPS, and once in position, it drives it self. It was SOOOOO much fun. Thanks Marshal. We are back in Orlando, waiting for our next adventure-Golf/quiet time. Guess who does which.
